Monday May 30, members of our parish staff, finance council, and parish council participated in a special Mass with Bishop Libasci, and other parish staff from around our diocese. The Mass was held at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. Bishop Libasci celebrated a number of these Masses in different areas of the state in an effort to unify everyone in our diocese with a common thread. After each Mass, Parish priests received a special Eucharist to be used in Adoration at his own parish.
Following the Mass participants were given the opportunity to meet Bishop Libasci during a reception in the hall. There was a sense of mission and community among the crowd. People were able to meet and greet – many seeing for the first time how large our diocese is – and the vast array of people who serve within it. Friendships were rekindled, networks strengthened, and new relationships sprouted.

We pray for the new beginnings that our Bishop has ignited, and seek to support him as our shepherd.
