Today, June 4, at St. Joseph Cathedral in Manchester, Kyle F. Stanton became a preist. The Eucharistic Celebration of Presbyteral Ordination was celebrated by Bishop John B. McCormack, and Bishop Francis Christian, along with many of our diocesan priests. Father Ray Labrie our Pastor had the honor of vesting the new shepherd. The church was full of family and friends, and the joy that filled the air was almost palpable.
We thank Kyle’s family for the many sacrifices it took to bring him to this day – and we thank all who supported him in his vocational calling. Among many of the rituals and traditions we witnessed were the laying on of hands by the bishops and priests who prayed for Kyle, serving as a visible sign of this ordination. Participants in the Mass were also given the opportunity to receive first blessings from the new priest.
